Neil Chirite joined Backcast in 2018. Mr. Chirite is focused primarily on sourcing, transaction execution and monitoring of both debt and equity investments, as well as Backcast’s insurance-focused rated note vehicles. Prior to Backcast, Mr. Chirite was an investment banking Associate at Citigroup in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, where he was responsible for buy side and sell side transactions across the healthcare, diversified industrials and telecommunications sectors. Prior to Citigroup, Mr. Chirite was an analyst at Mooring Capital, a private investment group specializing in the acquisition and management of distressed, sub-performing and performing commercial loans. Prior to Mooring Capital, Mr. Chirite was an analyst at Cambridge Associates, a global investment firm that provides investment and consulting services to institutional investors, private clients and family offices. Mr. Chirite received a B.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
